A timely reminder for customers still using Windows 10

Posted in: Microsoft 26/05/26

We wanted to remind you that if any Windows 10 devices are still in daily use across your business, now is the time to plan their replacement or upgrade. Since Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025, those devices no longer receive security updates or technical support, which increases risk and weakens your wider security position.

Moving to Windows 11 Pro gives your business a more modern, supported platform, with stronger built-in protection and a more secure sign-in experience for your team. Microsoft describes Windows 11 Pro as secure by design and secure by default, with features such as TPM 2.0, BitLocker, virtualisation-based security, and Windows Hello for Business.

Cyber risks continue to rise, and attackers are increasingly using AI to make phishing and other attacks faster and more convincing. Recent guidance from Microsoft highlights that AI is increasing the speed and effectiveness of modern attacks, making unsupported devices and older software harder to defend over time.

The good news is that, with the right planning, most upgrades are straightforward.  We can help you assess which devices can be upgraded, which should be replaced, and how to schedule the work with minimal disruption to your team.

A practical, low-risk route to Windows 11

We will guide you through a managed move to Windows 11 Pro, helping you gain the benefits of a supported platform without unnecessary complexity:

  • Reduce the risk of disruption from ransomware, phishing, and other cyber threats
  • Strengthen protection for business, customer, and financial data with modern security features
  • Support secure, reliable working whether your team is in the office, at home, or on the move
  • Plan the change around your business hours to keep downtime and disruption to a minimum

We will be happy to review your current devices and advise on the best next steps. IT Ambulance is here to assist with practical guidance, sensible equipment lead-times, and a planned approach. Please speak with Richard or Alex and we will be pleased to help.
