Snow Halts Play in Wilts /Dorset/ Somerset

Friday 18th January 2013

Heavy snow started in the Blackmore Vale area at about 4am this morning and by 9am we were looking at 4 to 6 inches. This is due to last until lunchtime, so has the potential to double. The roads seem to have been completely unprepared for this and are treacherous. As I write many are becoming impassable   including the main A303 being closed after several accidents.

We are invoking a “Denial of Premises” at Zeals Head Office. Our famous Same Hour On Site Support is formally suspended in this area. Currently all other areas are unaffected. We will only be supplying remote support in the South West this morning from this Head Office. We will review this in the afternoon, when we hope the snow ploughs will have cleared main routes.

Zeals Head Office staff all have complete remote access to our phones and administration systems so contact with us will remain unaffected. Obviously in most circumstances we can supply a similar level of service by remotely accessing our customers systems as on site with them.

We apologise for any inconvenience but safety must be our primary concern.

Stay Safe, Stay Warm.
