Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 Launch

More good news in a world that seems short on same for small businesspeople at this time.

Aimed at any enterprise up to 75 users wanting to equip its staff with the same tools as its biggest competitors, Microsoft are about to release Small Business Server 2008. SBS 2008 packages a number of key and otherwise very expensive Microsoft Technologies for the SME market.

Small Business Server 2008 is built as a 64 Bit Operating System which means that it can utilise more than 4Gb of Memory which will improve performance across the whole system particularly in a larger userbase but also is key in the lower end enterprise wishing to use a single server to run SBS and any other line of business applications, particularly SAGE Accounts or any other SQL database driven applications. SQL and Exchange compete for resource exponentially as user numbers grow.

SBS Server 2008 has taken on board the attractive user interface from Vista and Microsoft are pitching SBS as being better compatible with Microsoft Vista Operating systems. Vista will become the only choice for Business operating Systems in January 2009 when its last great bastion, Dell, finally cease to offer the worlds most popular operating system.

IT Ambulance is a Microsoft Small Business Specialist and has already gained significant experience working with Small Business Server 2008 internally and is awaiting the formal launch to process several large customer deliveries.
