China imposed fresh restrictions to cities across the country a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to stop local Covid hotspots from spreading. Wuhan itself was again one of these locations but with significant impact in industrial regions we can expect to see supply issues run and run for moths to come. We are already seeing suppliers like Cisco offering Lead Times out to 10 months and it is only through spreading our net fairly wide that we have been able to meet a number of sizable orders. ITs not just us. Some car manufacturers have been forced to ship vehicles with SatNav to follow due to a shortage of chips.

This week Chinas Chongqing manufacturing region mandated power cuts as the region struggles to deal with the power demand from its heatwave. It seems a perfect storm.
